[History]
History: Leif's life was less straight forward than he ever wanted it to be. At the age of three his life tumbled when his father passed away and his mother couldn't cope with him and his new born brother. He remembers vividly the day that his mother left them at the care home and drove off, never wanting to see them again. He also never realised that the moment they stepped through the care home, he wasn't going to be allowed to see his brother as much as he had wanted. Due to his brother being a baby, he was kept in a different part of the building, where he was placed with toddlers his age. It still upsets him to his current day that he forgot what his brother even looked like. The day he saw him again and knew who he was was the day he was adopted and taken away.
Leif went through several foster homes when he reached adolescence. Staying with families from anything from a month to half a year. Quite frankly, he hated it. He just wanted stability and somewhere he could just call a home. Leif didn't get that till he was sixteen and was allowed to get his own place and do more of what he wanted out of the care system. He moved into a hostel for young teens ands started from there. He knew he had a keen interest in history, so he build upon it and went to university to get a history degree.
It wasn't till he reached the age of twenty, he started to let himself remember the days of the care home and the day he watched his brother leave. A sudden wave of determination went through him and he decided when he finished his course he was going to try and find out who he was and where he was now. Heck, if the guy was still alive would be a good start. Going through the adoption system, it had been a lot easier than he ever thought to find his own records and his brothers. Pagan Byron. Adopted at the age of four and the adoption agency hadn't heard back from their first check on his progress. He was stumped with what to do with what he knew. He tried to put it to the back of his mind and tried to get himself a career, getting jobs in museums from curating to tour guiding.
A new opening in the city of Miseria was too good to miss. But he knew the rumours of the so called forced marriages, but his dream job was too much to pass up. Getting the job, he quickly packed up and moved. Without even knowing his long lost brother he had once looked for was living in the same city as him.
