Halcyon or Tudor is certainly a free spirit if there ever was one. He doesn't like to be held back or restrained and able to do what he wants to do. He's kindhearted taking after one of his father's hopeless romantic traits. Halcyon is incredibly sweet and often called innocent and naive, yet he has years of life experience that others could not amount too. Tudor easily becomes friends with most he meets with being an outgoing type of person, he often talks a lot and there's never a moment of silence with him. He doesn't ever really stop when he should. He can sometimes often put his foot in it and say things without meaning too. Tudor just tries to be a fun loving guy, he doesn't want to get himself tied up and involved in things too deeply. He has a habit of letting go and disappearing much like the rest of the Finn family.
Strengths:
- Knows how to let go and have fun - Intelligent and kind Weaknesses: - Can sometimes not have a filter - Haunted by his past - Bad reaction to any purity of silver - Has a stupidly weak stomach. From motion sickness to food and feeling anxious, he throws up easily. |
SpeciesLike most of the Finn family, Halcyon is a werewolf. He is able to shift into a wolf form at will and carries over all traits that the family does. From heightened senses to being deadly trackers and hunters even in their human form. However due to the nature of his birth, it became apparent that his intolerance to silver was far greater than anyone else or any other wolf he has ever met. Even the slightest touch of silver burns him, but he always heals afterwards, however, it is his greatest weakness. With the way it burns him, he is easily immobilised by it.
Made with the blood of a Strigoi, Halcyon also picked up on a few powers from his other father. The man had the ability to shift into at least three animals and Halcyon found he could also shift into the form of a fox as well as a wolf. As well as another animal, he has very mild elemental abilities. His most favoured part of his species being that he can turn himself invisible. |
FAmily HistoryHalcyon is another addition to the ever growing Finn family, but he's probably the strangest one to be born into it. He has no mother and it's not because she died or ran away when he was born. He biologically has two fathers, one being a Finn family member (Lucas) and the other the younger brother of Nile Nicu, Ion Cezar. He has never met his father on the Finn side of the family nor has found himself drawn towards ever wanting to meet him for his own personal reasons. But he is close to his uncle and his cousin Hadrian. Finding that him and Hadrian have grown to have a brotherly relationship. He is gradually getting to know all his family but his fathers, to which one doesn't know about him and the other he ran away from. Whereas with his Aunt Jamie who has also recently come to Monstrum, with both their youth in looks, find it easier to pretend to be cousins or at a push, siblings. Their relationship with developing as he is the only reminder that Jamie has of Lucas for now. He has a half brother from a previous relationship Ion had that only he is aware of to date.

History
Ion struggled when he parted ways with Lucas. Even with letters passed between the two, it was a strange and unexpected move that Ion took next in his moment of heartbreak. Seeking out descendants of his species of Strigoi, it was a complete moment of madness that made Ion want to create a child that would be from him and Lucas. As if he was a god trying to create a child from the air. It was perhaps madder than a spell caster Strigoi decided to try and do it. Following folklore and myths written in dead languages, there was no questions asked about how Ion still had so much of Lucas' blood on him to help make sure this creation would be equal part of him and Lucas. After a night of spell casting and heavens knows what else in the depths of black magic, to their utter amazement it has worked. Cezar was blessed with the sight of a crying baby, lying in what had been the fire they had lit to keep them warm through the night.
No one from the pirate crew asked questions when Cezar returned with a baby boy in his arms. The only man who did was rightfully the captain, to which Ion told him a spun off lie about finding a baby left behind in the streets and deciding to raise the child as his personal blood bank. And well, it was partly the truth. No one disagreed, more happy that Cezar wouldn't draw upon any of the crew for blood. Thus, Halcyon spent most of his childhood on the ocean. With pirates crew as an extended family and his father. Ion being the second in command, Halcyon could do what he wanted on the ship as long as he didn't hurt himself and was quickly known throughout the whole ship. He spent a vast amount of his childhood throughout the islands of the Caribbean, growing up in the lawless towns that the pirate ran. He never had an understanding of the real world. The world of laws and consequences. He knew how to be on a ship, hold a gun and shoot. How to read a map and take a fort and how to keep the Spanish authorities at bay.
Tudor grew up incredible sheltered by Cezar. His father always looking over his shoulder and looking after him. It went as far that if Cezar could have put Tudor in a bubble of protection, he would have done that. Tudor grew up at a young age wanting to be free of his father's grip on him and found himself often working in the lower decks of the ship to stay away from his eye watching him. If Cezar ever called his name, he was practically thrown to the man for fear that Cezar would lose his temper with anyone in sight. But also for the fact that Tudor had been Cezar's blood source since a baby. There was unpleasant days between them, when Cezar's heartbreak towards Lucas was too strong for him to cope with, he couldn't help himself but take it out on Tudor. Being the closest item he had to Lucas, Halcyon was often punished for his father's love for his Athair. Yet it wasn't till his early teens that he even learnt about Lucas and who he was. Cezar had never told him anything but that he was a baby abandoned by a prostitute in the streets of Tortuga that he took pity upon. He learnt the truth of who he was. A baby created by sorcery and blood from heartbreak and despair. In a moment, Cezar's anger towards him and protectiveness had some sort of reason that made sense, but not justified.
Throughout his teens, Halcyon drifted from his father. Learning new abilities as he grew, most favoured was the skill of invisibility. Often hiding away from his father in the darkest parts of the ship, trying to decide what to do with his life and if there was a chance he could stay behind on land finally. Everything took a turn for the worst on a night when Ion hadn't drank blood in too long and mixed with alcohol, he attacked Halcyon after an argument broke out between them. In a drunken rage, Halcyon couldn't match his father's strength as he forced himself on him, calling him Lucas as he covered his mouth to stop anyone hearing. The next day, Halcyon knew he had to leave. Hiding in the depths of the ship from his father as he heard the distraught man scream for him. He had never been happier to hear that someone tell Ion that he might have fallen overboard due a storm in the morning.
When the ship finally reached dock, Halcyon had never been so afraid in his life. Not sure what to do with himself, how to move forward, he barely had control over his abilities lacking control over his emotions. Managing to turn himself invisible long enough to get past Ion, ignoring the man's cries for him as he ran onto the land. Halcyon kept telling himself not to look back. To keep moving forward and live a new life like he had always wanted too. Stealing a new set of clothes for himself and money from a brothel. Halcyon didn't know what he wanted to do as he decided to get off of the Pirate Island and get onto mainland America. Part of him saying that he had to track down Lucas, find him and explain who he was. Or maybe just go to his Athair's homeland and see if he found home there. Though the only calling he has is from his cousin Hadrian, the boy practically begging him to come somewhere and be safe while he figures out his life.
