Name: Dmetri Weir.
Base name: Andrew Garfield
Alias: Dutch
Age: Twenty-One.
Orientation: Grey Asexual - Female
Appearance: Dutch reaches a good height of six foot one. He tries to always keep his posture upright and good, never slouching. He is more on the skinny and non-muscular side than anything else. Just not toned, he can never stomach working out for too long and 'cause of his diets he is always around the right weight. Above his wrist he has a few dialysis scars from emergencies when he has been incredibly ill or eaten too of foods that would hurt him.
Occupation: Volunteer at a cat shelter.
Likes: Solitude and tranquility, when everything in his head is silent, when it rains and being by lakes and the sea, any time he can spend with his brother is a bonus. He adores cats.
Dislikes: Overly large crowds which doubles up with being touched by strangers, being pestered to do things he doesn't want too, being separated from Alec for no good reason or being told he can't see him.
Personality: Dmetri is overall a very awkward human being. He doesn't really know how to interact with people confidently or talk to them. Shyness is almost an understatement for him and he will often try to avoid conversations. Over the years, he has become well equip to getting out of conversations he doesn't want to have and also being able to avoid people and slip under the radar. Dutch is quietly intelligent. He's fascinated by science and particularly biology. If he ever makes conversation with someone, he will often end up only talking about science and anything he knows about and is confident about, so he doesn't feel like an idiot. He's uncomfortable in most everyday activities when alone.
Mental Illness[es]: Dependent personality disorder, depression, suspected Schizoaffect disorder.
History: People struggle to believe that little Dmetri is related to Alec Weir. Even more so to find out they are biological brothers, not adopted or half brothers. Full blood relation. It's also hard for the Weirs to stomach that one their precious babies is "damaged goods" and the other can legally treat him.
Dmetri was spoil rotten from the moment he was born. He was the planned baby, the ones his parents dreamed of having. Alec - the first born - was neglected as soon as he could walk and talk and when he was five pushed aside for the new born baby. His parents even went as far to try and keep the two separate from each other but when Dmetri was old enough to walk and talk, you couldn't keep the boy away from his brother and the two grew incredibly close. Dmetri was the first person to ever show Alec unconditional love and the feeling of being a role model. To little Dmetri, Alec was the best person in the world.
However the chemical balances in his brain were never right, even spoilt and given everything he could have wanted, he wasn't happy. He wasn't stupid or easily brought out with presents as his parents thought. He knew how they were treating Alec compared to him and the more they did for him, the sadder he got. At school he was no better, he struggled to more conform than anything. He couldn't figure out how to act in groups of friends, how to even go about making them. Growing up with only Alec in his life, Dutch had relied heavily on their family relationship. He started to close off from everyone and only talk to Alec in school who he hardly saw since he was five years older than him. Dmetri was lonely and grew very dependent on anyone who gave him attention and didn't leave. But they always did eventually.
It was noticed when he was sixteen but none other than his brother fresh out of university with a psychology degree he had symptoms of depression. But it raised more concerns about how it was never noticed before or at least someone talk to him about it. Alec didn't hesitate in sending him to a hospital and the doctor he saw told him, it was nothing to worry about, he'd get over it as he was still young and give him pills. Dmetri's biggest mistake was not showing Alec them or questioning them further. He took them as told but within two weeks he was struck with crippling kidney pain that spread to his liver. He was rushed to hospital and had his stomach pumped being told he barely escaped permentant liver damage and it was only minor. He was told the strength of his pills were too strong and were known for causing damage if taken incorrectly.
From then on it was constant testing over and over again. Brain scans revealed his depression was biological and therefore wasn't going to be easily overcome. And to his horror, the damage to his kidneys had not been fixed. Now he has a defect from an overdose of vitamin D and A from the medicine and along with his anti-depressants he also has to have special diet meals and regulate his vitamin intake. He has to monitor it closely or else he has the chance of falling into kidney failure and being on dialysis for the rest of his life till he can get a transplant.
